Our Team

Mr. Fred Tumwebaze is a competent Civil Engineer possessing a proven record of accomplishment in preparing and executing project plans and programs.He is currently the Head of Emergency Response and Recovery at Rwanda Red Cross, a humanitarian organization and auxiliary to the Government of Rwanda.

Mr. Fred started his career as a civil engineer in 2014 on a project named crisis complex project which had a program of settling of 180 returnees families (construction of 180 houses), project funded by Belgium Red

Over seven years work experience as a shelter manager both in emergency and post emergency, he has been able to directly contribute and influence the country and regional level development of resilience capacities, disaster preparedness, and developed national-level capacities to respond to emergencies while working for the Rwanda Red Cross, Belgium Red Cross, Danish Red Cross, International Federation of Red Cross Red Crescent. He holds a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from University of Rwanda and several training in leadership skills development.

Ms. Ingabire Pascaline is a seasoned computer scientist who is very passionate in having technology solve human problems. Through being a servant leader and a sensible person,she is able to work in teams and inspire the people she is working with to be goal driven. Her unyielding hunger for excellence pushes her to always come up with new ideas of technologies, processes, procedures and policies that support the already existing functions.

Her experience spans from serving as research and Development Intern FinancialForce – San Francisco, United States where collaborated with a team of 20 multicultural software developers and analysts tasked to develop a live product using cutting-edge technology such as Node.js and the Force.com platform. And currently serves as IT Senior Auditor in the office of the Auditor General.

Mr. David NTAMBIYE is a passionate public speaker who holds a bachelor degree in quantity surveying from University of Rwanda and diploma in construction finance from Columbia University. Since 2012, He has been involved in numerous youth engagement programs and activities. He has organized, convened, coordinated and been involved in different youth debate projects, debate tournaments and conferences that include but not limited to Pan Africa Universities Debate Championship, East African Universities debate Championship, Transform Africa summit, Work Economic Forum, African Union Summit 2016.

He is the Founder and Executive Director of Aspire Debate Rwanda, serves on the Board of East African Debating Council as the Chairperson. He is an active member of East African Community Youth ambassador platform (EAC-YAP), also serves as Secretary General of Pan African Movement – Youth Commission Rwanda Chapter. David is an entrepreneur, enthusiastic, self-motivated, reliable, responsible and dynamic.

Ms. Baibare Patience is a partner and General Manager at Fountain Advocates where she specializes in corporate commercial transactions. She is a practicing member of the Rwanda bar association as well as the East Africa law society.

She holds a track record of public speaking skills demonstrated by her participation in a number of national and international moot court competitions and debates. She holds a Master’s Degree in Business law as well as several certificates in the art of mediation and bargaining.

Liza Imbonabake is a Project Manager at Challenges Rwanda, with vast experience in business consulting.
Liza specializes in learning and development programs where she has created innovative, tailored training in business management, acting as a lead in delivering content to coffee cooperatives across Rwanda with an indirect impact to coffee farmer livelihoods.

CMI Diploma holder in Management and Leadership, Liza holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management. Her work is rooted in tangible interventions in various women and youth-related projects as well as working with SMEs to provide consultancy services. She has also led a cleantech implementation with sustainable access to finance element.
A passionate debater and endlessly curious, her interests lie in human rights advocacy, development, and constant personal growth.

Mr. Alex Nshuti is Lead Internal IMS Auditor at Access bank Rwanda Plc since July 2021. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering in computer and software from University of Rwanda. He holds over 4 years’ experience in Auditing and advisory services. He previously held a Senior Associate position with KPMG auditing firm.

He has vast experience in financial management, Business Planning, systems reviews, Due Diligence, business management training and auditing of banks, manufacturing, Aviation, telecommunication, transport, hospitals and NGOs sectors just to name a few. Alex is a competent communicator with Toastmasters International and active member of Aspire Debate Rwanda.

Mr. Armand KWITONDA is a member of Aspire Debate Rwanda since its inception in 2014. He is a renowned public speaker, a leader and a motivator. In the past five years, he held different leadership roles ranging from President to Vice President at Toastmaster International both at IJWI and TRES Toastmasters clubs.

Now currently serving as District 114 officer - Area 6 Director 2021-2022 representing Rwanda and Burundi. Additionally, from 2016 to 2021, Armand served as a member of the Kamatumu cell advisory council. He holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Estate Management and Valuation from University of Rwanda. He is a Real Estate Consultant by profession and a Certified Valuer by Institute of Real Property Valuers in Rwanda (IRPV).

Yves Rene Uwayo is a former East African Community Deputy Youth Ambassador to Rwanda. He is a renowned public speaker, debater, mentor and trainer. He has been working with Aspire Debate Rwanda to promote the culture of debating, public speaking and critical thinking in Rwanda.

Through Ascendance Rwanda, he worked with “Imbuto Foundation '' to groom a new generation of leaders and communicators at the University of Rwanda – College of Education. UWAYO is also a passionate activist, he has co-founded an organization named “Genesis Initiative” that advocates for women empowerment among others. He represented Rwanda in the “A greener Africa: Youth and climate change” forum that took place in Niamey from the 7th to the 8th of July 2019.

He works with an organization called “RSC Africa '' that partners with UNHCR to provide a safe space for refugees. He is a proud defender and activist for ideals of freedom and liberty, he is a local coordinator of “Students For Liberty ''. UWAYO is also an adjudicator with Aspire Debate Rwanda. He was the Deputy Chief Adjudicator of the East African University Debate Champion 2019, held in Nairobi. He is a Model African union fellow. He, as well, was elected Youlead Ambassador 2019 for Rwanda. He then worked as the Regional Programs Manager for Wibena Impact. He currently works as a Due Diligence Officer for PACT Rwanda and serves in the conflict resolution committee in Aspire Debate Rwanda.

Mugenyi.A.Hakim is currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Development Studies, A bachelors’ degree holder in Business Administration with honors in finance (BBA-FIN), project coordinator at Save Generations Organization in the ECCR project, with almost an experience of 3 years in project coordination. An Environment and Climate Change Resilience Advocate, A Gender activist with experience in SRHR, project monitoring and evaluation and an expert in community advocacy and resource mobilization activities.

Well experienced in Research, policy analysis and formulation, a very great critical thinker and analyst not living out being equipped with leadership, public speaking and communication skills and a self-motivated, result-oriented, resourceful, innovative and versatile person with a humble and focused personality who enjoys meeting challenges and seeing them through while maintaining confidence and a good sense of humor. A result oriented and good at problem solving with the ability to quickly adjust to new situations and handle a variety of tasks efficiently. His determination to be successful drives him to do the best in everything he does.
